Pixar Classics Box Set
Pixar Boxset
This project imagined a Pixar Classics Box Set featuring a set of 8 Blu-Ray discs and a collectible "Rm A113" plaque for avid collectors.

Glamour Shot
Inset Velvet Box
Inset spaces for DVDs were first CNC-Cut into an MDF Spacer, then press fitted with black velvet. Finally, the velvet was steamed to remove wrinkles after being adhered to the spacer.
Front Piece
The 3D printed pillars and laser cut sign were glued into an CNC-cut inset of the top piece of the box. The background was painted with acrylic paint.

The top piece is removable and features and acrylic gateway and 3D scene depicting the front gate at Pixar Animation Studios. Discs are set into recessed velvet to prevent damage.
Collectible Plaque
The brass plaque was CNC cut, then laser engraved with a graphic designed in Adobe Illustrator. The plaque was mounted on a walnut base plate which was cut using a table router then finished with wax.

Box in Progress
The box was made from poplar planks, which were glued together to form boards. Edges were miter cut to 45° using a bandsaw, and pieces glued together before being varnished.
The plaque is made of walnut and brass. The main box is built from poplar.
Unpainted Pillars
Painted Pillars
Pillars were first designed in Adobe Illustrator, them 3D Modeled in Fusion360. Pieces were 3D printed, then painted with a base layer using texture painting techniques. Finally, pillars were hand painted to brick tones.
The multilayer mural is built with 3D printed pillars designed in SolidWorks.
